North Cornwall Dragons Level 3 Open Meet

Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th November 2016

Session 1: Warm-up at 1.00pm for a 1.45pm start

Session 2: Warm-up at 4.30pm for a 5.15pm start



Session 3: Warm-up at 8.30am for a 9.15am start

Session 4: Warm-up at 1.00pm for a 1.45pm start


Closing dates: electronic 14th October, Paper: 9th October


Ages as of Midnight 6th November 2016


The two day programme will include:

• 50 metres all strokes for ages 9 years and older

• 100 metres all strokes for ages 9 years and older

• 200 metres all strokes for ages 9 years and older

• 400 metres freestyle of ages 9 years and older

• 400 metres Individual Medley for ages 10 years and older


All events are Heat Declares Winners [HDW]

Medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each age group


Awards to Top Junior Girl and Top Junior Boy (12 and under)

Top Senior Girl and Top Senior Boy (13 and over)


£6.00 per event

Coaches pass £10 per day or £15 for 2 days

All day programme £5 each

Please inform the Meet Secretary Nick Jenkin as soon as possible, and in any event by Friday 4th November, midnight, of any withdrawals, to facilitate the pre seeding of heats.

Start sheets for each session may be collected from the Meet Secretary in the First Aid Room at the start of the warm up.

Competitors are to present themselves to the marshals in the marshalling area (changing room ramp) one event prior to their own event, or as directed by the announcer.

Once the competitors have reported to the marshals, they are to remain in the marshalling area until instructed to proceed to the start by the marshals.

All races will start and finish at the deep end of the pool.

The one start rule shall be in force throughout the competition.

Over the top starting on events except for the backstroke.

Coaches are to ensure that swimmers are able to execute a competitive start in 1.8m of water, in a safe manner and to the standards laid down for the ASA Competitive Start Award
